Anti-Aging Programs

It is now possible to live longer, but more important is to live a better quality of life than ever thought possible. Modern Science has given us the tools to achieve true rejuvenation; the truth is most people ignore the aging process until it is too late. Our program will provoke awareness in you of the body's amazing abilities, its balance, but also its frailty and the need for us to listen to its messages, to act on, to cure, and to live a longer, happier, and healthier life.

Our special rejuvenation program is designed to optimize your body composition by helping you to lose fat and restore optimum levels of healthy muscle tissue! This program utilizes laboratory and diagnostic testing to determine the patient's specific needs. This program is followed by a custom program, encompassing exercise, nutrition, supplements and lifestyle modification. Natural and or Bio Identical Hormones such as HGH may be incorporated.

Hormone Testing and Hormone Therapy

Why do we need hormone testing?
One size does not fit all when it comes to hormones! For decades western medicine has prescribed HRT as if everyone needed the same thing and the same amount. Nothing could be further from the truth. Your hormones are like your fingerprints and in order to achieve optimal health, you need to know what your specific imbalances are. To find out about your hormonal status you will need to have lab tests performed. But what kind? There are several ways to test (saliva, serum and urine), but the state of the art testing is through saliva. This is because it measures only the active portions of your hormones and it is these portions that determine how you feel. Saliva testing is the most accurate tool to measure and monitor your hormone status.
Which hormones need testing?
The major players in the sex hormone arena are estradiol, progesterone and testosterone. The main adrenal hormones are DHEA and cortisol. These five hormones will provide crucial information about your deficiencies, excesses and daily patterns, which then results in a treatment approach specially tailored for you.

Testosterone

  • Important in both men and women.
  • Increases bone density and muscle strength.
  • Studies suggest that testosterone protects against prostate cancer.
  • In men deficiency is associated with andropause, aging, prostate disease, heart disease, and depression.
  • In women deficiency associated with osteoporosis and low libido.

Estradiol

  • The major active estrogen in both men and women.
  • Metabolic product of testosterone.
  • In men, excess estrogen is associated with metabolic syndrome and obesity.
  • In women too little estrogen is associated with menopause, vaginal dryness and hot flashes.

Growth Hormone (HGH)

  • Steady decline associated with aging.
  • Increases lean body mass (muscle) and decreases adipose (fat).
  • Enhances bone and muscle growth.

Melatonin

  • Induces sleep.
  • A metabolite of serotonin and deficiency may indicate a deficiency of serotonin.
  • A strong antioxidant to the brain.
  • Restores circadian rhythm.

Progesterone

  • Balances the effect of estrogen on the uterus, promotes bone growth and calms the mood.
  • In men protects against prostate cancer.
  • In women protects against osteoporosis, menopause, hot flashes.
  • In women deficiency associated with insomnia and irritability (eg PMS).

Cortisol

  • Screens for basis adrenal function.
  • Acts to mitigate against inflammatory process and stress. Too much can result in damage and too little make the body susceptible to injury and fatigue.

DHEA

  • The primary adrenal hormone.
  • Elevates mood, improves memory and enhances immune function.
  • In women it is associated strongly with testosterone.

Thyroid: T4 and T3

  • The two primary thyroid hormones.
  • Regulates metabolism.
  • Of the two, T3 is the bioactive form whereas the T4 serves as the reservoir for T3. Distorted ratios may indicate thyroid dysfunction.
  • Low levels of thyroid result in constipation, dry skin, fatigue, muscle achiness, insomnia, irritability and menstrual irregularity.

Cosmetic Procedures

BOTOX INJECTIONS

A highly effective procedure that can dramatically reduce the roughest wrinkle within seven days. One ten-minute treatment - a few tiny injections - relaxes the muscles that cause those lines to form and keeps them relaxed up to three to four months. Unlike surgery, Botox is fast, simple and minimally invasive with no downtime or recovery.

One complementary consultation can be scheduled with the Doctor for more information and prices.

Juvederm Injections

In the US, Juvederm injectable gel is indicated for injection into the mid-to-deep dermis for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds), and is generally well tolerated. While other HA fillers on the market have more granular consistency, Juvederm injectable is the first smooth-consistency HA gel. This is due to an innovative manufacturing process called Hylacross technology. Hylacross gives Juvederm its unique smooth-gel properties as well as an optimal gel structure that holds up to 1 year.
